Minneapolis, MN (Sep 12, 2018) — Healthy Savings announced UCare Individual and Family Plan members will be able to buy healthier foods at a discounted price through the Healthy Savings® program.
Healthy Savings helps members save up to $200 per month on the healthier foods including lean meats, whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurt and more. Using the program is easy. Members receive weekly emails showcasing promotions and have access to a mobile app where product offers are listed. Each week members’ accounts are preloaded with savings, so there is no clipping or downloading coupons required.
Members can shop at any participating retailer location, including Cash Wise, Coborn’s, Cub Foods, Festival Foods, Hornbacher’s, Kowalski’s, Lunds & Byerlys and Mackenthun’s of Waconia. Scanning their mobile app at checkout gives them instant savings on healthier foods.
“Healthy Savings makes healthy eating an easy choice for many of our members,” said Ghita Worcester, UCare Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Chief Marketing Officer. “We always go the extra mile to help our members, and Healthy Savings is an example of how we do that.”
“We are pleased to welcome UCare members to this growing program,” said Chad Kelly, Solutran Chief Marketing Officer. “Eating healthier and saving money is a winning combination.”
Kelly stated Healthy Savings has already saved members over $2 million on healthier foods since the start of the program in 2013.
The technology behind the Healthy Savings program is powered by Solutran, Inc., a Minnesota-based technology company specializing in electronic benefit transfer and payment processing solutions.
