Minneapolis, MN (Apr 24, 2018) — Saint Therese is offering the Healthy Savings program to make healthy eating easier and more affordable for its employees on their health insurance plan. With Healthy Savings, employees can save 25% on all fresh produce purchases in the fresh produce department in addition to over $50 in weekly savings on other healthy staples like lean meats, yogurts, cheeses, whole grains and more. Employers today are increasingly linking healthy diets to better productivity and lower absenteeism.
“Saint Therese is dedicated to the well-being of each individual – both the customers we serve, and our employees who serve them,” said Saint Therese Director of Employee Benefits, Chatanya Miller. “Healthy Savings provides our employees a unique advantage to eating healthier and we couldn’t be more excited to offer it.”
With simplicity as the cornerstone of the program, each week employees’ accounts are preloaded with savings – eliminating any clipping or downloading of coupons. Employees simply shop at any of the over 1,400 participating retailer locations and swipe their card or mobile app at checkout for instant savings.
“I always like to brag about how much I have saved just in produce alone. I think this program needs to be pushed to more employees,” said a Healthy Savings member who has used the program since 2013.
“Healthy eating is a movement with Millennials and Gen Xers at the lead. As these generations make-up over 65% of the American workforce, programs like Healthy Savings are important in attracting and retaining top talent,” said Chad Kelly, Solutran CMO, and general manager of Healthy Savings. “We tip our hats to progressive employers like Saint Therese who are funding Healthy Savings for their employees.”
The technology behind the Healthy Savings program is powered by Solutran, Inc., a Minnesota-based technology company specializing in electronic benefit transfer and payment processing solutions.
Healthy Savings is accepted at the following retailers in Minnesota: Cash Wise, Coborn’s, Cub Foods, Hornbacher’s, Kowalski’s, Lunds & Byerlys and Mackenthun’s.
